The gallery has a wide variety of works from Australia and overseas, including paintings by famous artists such as Monet and Picasso. It also hosts many exhibitions throughout the year that showcase the latest trends in art world.

The Art Gallery offers free admission for children under 12 years old, which makes it a great place to visit with kids on holiday! There are also events held at this venue throughout the year so you’ll always be able to find something fun going on nearby if you’re planning ahead!

Australian National Maritime Museum

The Australian National Maritime Museum is one of the best places to visit in Sydney. It tells the history of Australia and Sydney, from its early days to today. You’ll learn about famous ships like the RMS Titanic, which sank near the site where this museum stands today.

The museum also hosts exhibitions that explore everything from marine life to space travel through time periods such as colonial times or World War II. If you have children with you, their favorite part might be watching underwater videos during their visit!

There are many free events held at this facility throughout each year so check out what’s happening during your stay! And if you want something more relaxing than just walking around aimlessly while being entertained by exhibits then consider purchasing tickets for one of their guided tours instead—they take place every day except Sundays (when they don’t).

Royal Botanic Gardens

Royal Botanic Gardens is a popular place to visit on Sydney’s North Shore. It has a lot of different types of plants and trees, as well as an outdoor theatre. There are also many paths you can take when walking around the gardens.

Cockatoo Island

Cockatoo Island is a former prison and shipyard, now a tourist attraction. It’s located in Sydney Harbour and has a lot of history, including being used as an internment camp during World War II. If you’re looking for an interesting place to visit this holiday season, this island is definitely worth checking out!

Snorkelling at Clovelly Beach

Snorkelling is a great way to see the underwater world. It’s also one of the safest ways to get close to fish, coral and marine life.

The best snorkelling spots in Sydney are at Clovelly Beach, which has easy access and plenty of space for swimming activity. The water here is calm enough for beginners but also strong enough for experienced divers who want an opportunity to dive deep into blue waters or swim with sharks (although this isn’t advisable).
